Be A Star Foundation Distribution of Funds



Making a Difference in the Lives of Children with Cancer

and other Critical Illnesses and their Families.
 
Pediatric Oncology Support Team (P.O.S.T.)



For struggling families, in these difficult economic times, the Be A Star Foundation has been a leader in supporting families who have a child with cancer. Be A Star has done this by:
  • Providing the P.O.S.T. program with support to assist families with living expenses, including mortgages, rent, utilities, transportation assistance, nutrition, clothing and wigs.
  • underwriting costs of medications, payments for medical services such as neuropsycho logical evaluations, medical equipment and health insurance, as well as lodging, airline and other travel expenses related to medical care.
  • other support such as the cost of sending children to camps for kids with cancer, special events for families and with funeral and memorial services in remembrance of the pediatric patients who have passed away.
